Joker

a networked card game

Introduction

Joker is a networked (human vs. human) card game written in java. It is intended to be playable both from a telnet client and from it's own graphical clients.

This is the first alpha release and there is still a lot to be done. Currently two games are implemented; `knockout whist' and `Montana red dog' (rules are in <gamedir>/RULES).

Both the servers and graphical clients require a standalone java interpreter (1.1 or higher) ie they will NOT run in a web browser. However if you don't have java it is possible to play on a remote server using a telnet client.

Joker is free software and you are welcome to redistribute it under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence. Joker comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.

Both screenshots show two client windows.
