CadPad

A simple 2D CAD program

CadPad is intended to be a simple to use CAD program for 2D mechanical engineering drawings. It is written in java and requires jdk 1.1 or higher.

This is the first alpha release so there are more features to add, but it is already usable for simple drawings. Please send any bug reports, suggestions, or comments to dave@dmriley.demon.co.uk

Current Features:

• straight lines, arcs, linear dimensions and text
• trim line or arc
• solid, dashed and chained lines / arcs
• thick and thin line width for lines / arcs
• multiple undo
• multiple layers
• saves drawings to plain ascii text
• can import (and scale / offset) layers from saved file into current drawing
• cartesian or radial snap-to-grid
• can zoom in and out
